About SONO

SONO is a rhythmic a cappella ensemble from Aarhus consisting of 21 singers aged 20-35.

In our repertoire you will find interpretations of songs by different pop, rock and R&B artists. Among them are Tina Dico, Daniel Bedingfield, Dizzy Mizz Lizzy and Hannah Schneider. SONO's vocal arrangements are created by external vocal arrangers as well as by conductor Tine Ohrt Højgaard or by members of SONO. Furthermore we work with "Circle Songs." These are songs that are improvised on the spot and this creates are great dynamic and intensity at our concerts.

Over time SONO has created a unique energetic expression that we continuously develop and refine. We have had many memorable concerts in Denmark and abroad and we have participated in a wide range of choir competitions where we have achieved great results. The latest was the prestigious international choir competition at Aarhus Vocal Festival in 2009 which we won.

With great involvement and musicality SONO's vocal interpretations capture moods and feelings that appeal to a broad audience and song lovers of all ages. That is how SONO has built a versatile concert business with concerts in churches, culture houses, cafés, concert venues and private parties.
